The Men's 1st and 2nd teams both reached the Play-offs this year. On Sunday, 28th February the 1st team were away to Rathgar 1. They lost a hard fought tie. The 2nd team were away to Templeogue 5, and won their tie. They next played away to Portmarnock 1 on Sunday 7th March in the quarter final, which was also the promotion play off match. They lost that tie to a very strong team 2-1 and just missed out on promotion. Well done to everyone who played for LCC in the first league of the year!
Winter League 2009
A tough league seen the Men's 1st team get relegated after falling foul of perhaps the unluckiest draw they've ever had. Both class finalists came from the same group, so they got drawn against the two strongest teams in the class during the group stages! The Men's 2nd team just missed out on the play-offs. The Men's 3rd team, and Ladies 1st and 2nd teams secured their places in their respective classes for another year.
Winter League 2008
The Men's 1st Team have reached the Play-offs as top of their section. Their first Play-off match was in LCC at 11am on Sunday 24th February against Celbridge 1, and LCC won 2-1. The following match was the quarter final, and took place away to Malahide 2 on Saturday 1st March at 11am. Once again LCC won 2-1 and now get promoted back to Class 2 for next year! The semi final was away to Templeogue 3 on Sunday 2nd March at 11am, and LCC were victorious yet again by 2-1. The Final was Sunday, 9th March, against Greystones 2 in Templeogue LTC at 1pm. LCC were on the wrong side of the 2-1 score line this time around, but it was still a very successful league campaign and to reach the Final and finish as runners-up was a great result for the club. The 8 man squad involved in the campaign were:
