Brookfield Challenge:
The next challenge match is scheduled for Friday 5th December at 3.30pm in LCC for all the under 12s. Those interested in playing can just show up on the day, but if possible, please let Dave O'Grady know you intend to play so he has a little more time to prepare for the numbers.
The previous challenge match was Friday 23rd May at 3pm, away to Brookfield. LCC had a great turnout, and won the tie by 19 matches to 14 (373 points to 322 points!). Well done to everyone involved, and we look forward to defending the title after the summer break!
After the November 2007 match, Brookfield moved into a 3-0 lead for 2007. Every match has been very closely contested, so LCC look forward to resuming competition in 2008!
Before the summer holidays in 2006, an inter club match was organised between LCC Juniors and Brookfield Juniors in Brookfield LTC. Brookfield won that fairly close encounter. The return fixture took place in LCC on Saturday 27th January 2007 at 2pm. Brookfield once again won the event, which turned out to be much bigger than the first event with a lot more participants on both sides.
